Our Story

The FloatRail System was invented to solve a very real problem.  Ships sink.  People die and property is destroyed.  The FloatRail System solves the sinking problem.

Historically, the focus has been on PFDs — also known as Personal Flotation Devices — like a life vest or a life raft.  Focusing on the individual, these devices are designed to hopefully provide a level of protection in the case of an emergency.

Until FloatRail, there has not been any real focus on saving the vessel which, as it turns out, becomes a new and very powerful way to provide greater safety to the people on the ship.

In fact, long time mariners say that in case of an emergency if at all possible stay on the boat.  The principle has been come to be known as “a ship is it own best lifeboat.”

The FloatRail System gives life to that principle.
